Mr So
Over the past two weeks, Year 6 has been busy with high school transition activities. We tried many different things, but our favourite by far was footgolf. In class, we learned the rules, practised our kicks, and prepared for what felt like the biggest footgolf competition of our lives. Both 6A and 6B held their own tournaments, which took two days to complete, three holes each day, for a total of six.
After hours of determination, teamwork and effort, our group Ava R, Chloe H, Josie B, Ariya A and Audrey J, the representatives of 6A, emerged victorious with a total of 23 hits. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and will always treasure the memories we made playing footgolf.

Year 6 has been full of excitement during our high school transition program in Weeks 8 and 9. We got to try lots of different subjects, like food tech, commerce, visual arts and my favourite one, PE. In PE with Mr So, we learned a brand new sport called footgolf!
At the start, we learned the theory side of it, like the techniques, rules and even the dress code for two lessons. Then we finally got to play for real. The aim of the game is simple but still challenging: kick the ball into the hole in as few shots as possible. I teamed up with Simon, Charlie, Jacob, Mihir and me, Yanjeh, and together we made an awesome team.
We played through six tricky holes, planning each kick carefully. In the end, our teamwork paid off because we won the footgolf “cup”! Thanks to Mr So, our prize was a treat from Rossis or David's Cakes, which made our win even better.
The best part for me wasn’t just winning, but playing with my classmates and learning from Mr So. With a total of 27 kicks across all six holes in a tough matchup, we proved that teamwork, practice and having fun can lead to great results. My team and I are really proud of what we achieved!
