National Karate Championship 2025
Over the school holiday break we had 2 student take part in the National Karate Championship 2025, which took place in Adelaide.
In a tough competition, Bohdan earned three bronze medals, while Sasha achieved a significant milestone by winning gold, making him a national champion this year.
We are incredibly proud of their dedication and achievements.

State Cross Country Championships
On Thursday 24th July 5 students represented Viewbank at the State Cross Country Championships in Yarra Glen. A fantastic effort from all students in some windy conditions.
We would like to congratulate students on their results;
12/13 Boys - Josh C 5th
16 Girls - Zoey R 67th
16 Boys - Declan L 1st

17-20 Girls - Poppy S 29th
Senior Boys Soccer
On Tuesday 29th July our senior boys headed to Darebin International Sports Centre to compete in the Regional Finals.
The boys had 3 games were they drew in the first two but unfortunately lost the third game so they will not progress any further. Well done to all involved its a great effort to reach the regionals so be very proud.
Taekwondo Championships
Congratulation to Salwa yr 8 and Hamzeh in yr 7 who competed in the 2025 State Taekwondo Championships last weekend . Salwa won a gold medal, and both qualified for the National Championships, which will be held in Adelaide this October. Congratulations and we cant wait to hear the results from the championships in October.
Hockey Junior State Championships
Congratulations to Olivia Reifschneider (yr. 10), Miles Pountney (yr. 8) and Cruz Trounce (yr. 8) who made representative hockey teams and played at the Junior State Championships over the school holidays .

Intermediate Badminton
On Thursday 31st July both boys and girls headed to Darebin CSS to play in the regional competition. The Boys played 3 rounds and won all THREE , they made to the Grand final and won the ‘Champions’ title! they will progress on to the state level. The Girls played 3 rounds and won 2 couldn’t make it to final but had a great day. Thanks to everyone involved.
Senior Badminton
Thursday 31st of July seen the senior boys and girls head to Darebin CSS to play in the regional badminton. The boys came runners up and the girls had a great day out giving it there all.
Year 7 boys Football
Year 7 boys headed to CT Barling reserve to play in the regional football. The boys had a great day winning all 3 of there games. They will now head to the regional final next week. Congratulations to all involved and good luck for the final.
