Grade 1 | Leatherwood

Grade 1 Leatherwood comprises a creative and enthusiastic group of artists! We have been experimenting with printing techniques and learning about the abstract artist Piet Mondrian. He is known for his use of primary colours, geometric shapes and grid composition. 

We created our own abstract art in his style. To achieve this, we used the edge of small pieces of cardboard to create lines and shapes. We dipped them in black paint and filled our page. We then chose three colours and coloured in some of the closed shapes. We are thrilled with the results!
