Grade 4 Myrtle - Science for the Curious and Creative

Last week Grade 4 were lucky enough to visit the Festival of Bright Ideas - Science for the curious and creative and participate in their school session. We were split into two groups and visited three stations where we engaged in a range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics tasks. There were so many interesting stations, read our great feedback below.

Jasmine - “The Hurricanes station was my favourite because I got to do some very fun exercises, and I got to test my hamstrings.”

Audrey - “My favourite station was the Hurricanes station because we got to do some hand exercises, and test how high we can jump.”

Jett -  “My favourite station was the wood construction one because we had to find different shapes and sizes and find what made the bridge stable.”

Shacara - “The car racing station was my favourite because we had to ride the bike to make the car go.

Jade - “My favourite station was the police one where we had to put some magnetic ink on our thumb and the bottom of our shoe and it made a print.”

Billie -  “The drone was my favourite station because I liked driving the drone.”

Liam - “The forensic police station was my favourite because we got to make shoe and thumb prints, and we got to look inside the police car.”

Matilda - “I liked the station that had the sand because I got to build lots of things and made a big circle with a smoother.”

Spencer - “I liked the lego robot and machine section because I liked controlling the robots, and I love seeing how robots are made and how the people use their creativity to design cool robots out of lego.”

Daisy - “I liked the touch tank it had sea creatures in it.  I also like the forensic police station because there was really cool  evidence like bones, fire and some wire.”
