On Monday the 27th April, all students in Years 7-12 walked to the Bandicoot Enclosure for our annual Cross Country event.

Well done to all, it was a very even performance. The weather was glorious, with the sun shining throughout. We had a little bit of rain on Sunday that softened the track a little, making conditions perfect.

State Swimming

Congratulations to Freddie Jury, Archie Dahl, Max Russell, and Jordan Uebergang who represented our school at the State Swimming Championships held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on 23 April. Although they did not place on the day, the relay team improved on the time they originally qualified with — a fantastic achievement at state level competition. Well done to all students involved!

Glenelg District Cross Country

On Monday 11th May the GD Cross Country was held in Casterton. All students represented the school with pride, encouraging each other throughout the day and showing their best efforts. It was a cool start to the morning, but by the time we arrived the sun was shining and all students were eager to compete.

Highlight performances for the day included Layla Slater finishing 1st, Freddie Jury placing 2nd, and both Leo McConachy and Noah Johnson achieving 5th-place finishes. Congratulations to Layla being awarded age group champion.

The top 7 students from the event will have the opportunity to represent the school at the GWR Division Cross Country Championships, which will be held in Warrnambool late May.
