Hi Foundation families,
The end of a wonderful term is almost here and the Foundation students deserve a relaxing break after everything they have accomplished. The students have become more independent in the mornings, and it’s great to see them starting to be responsible for their own belongings. They have ventured into the main playground and are adapting to all the different social situations they encounter. The students are developing confidence with their learning and are enjoying sharing their ideas in class discussions.
The last 2 weeks have been especially busy with Twilight Sports, Harmony Week, Crazy Hair Day and Swimming. It has been wonderful to build positive relationships with all the students this term and develop the home/school partnership, which is vital in ensuring the best outcome for your child. I look forward to Term 2 and all the exciting things Foundation M will be doing.

What We Are Learning
Reminders
Easter Raffle: We need donations for our Easter raffle which will be drawn next week. If you are able, could you bring something that represents Easter (eg. eggs, toys, etc.). That would be great! The more we get, the better the raffle will be. There will also be a prize for the class with the most donations.
Communication folders: Please remember to bring these to and from school each day.
High Frequency Words: Help your child to practise their high frequency words each night. They are stored in their blue folder in their communication folder.
Yellow Reading Log: Record your child’s nightly reading.
Library Bags: Students will need to bring a library bag to school and may borrow one book per week. Thursday is our level’s library borrowing day.
