Harmony Day 2025

This week at Peakhurst Public School we celebrated Harmony Week. Harmony Week is a celebration of Australia's cultural diversity and wonderful multicultural society. It is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians.
To celebrate this at Peakhurst, students and staff were invited to wear orange on our Harmony Week celebration day on Friday 21st March. Each class also engaged in their own special lesson that explored the themes of Harmony Week.
To celebrate the theme of "Everyone Belongs" as a whole school, staff took photos of every student in their class. A Harmony Day photo wall was then created in Block A that features every student at Peakhurst Public School. This is a wonderful way to continuously reinforce the theme of "Everyone Belongs" and allows our students to view the photo wall featuring all of their peers whenever they are in this space in the school.
We invite parents, families and community members to view the Harmony Day photo wall between 9:00-9:20am and 3:25-3:40pm on school days. The photo wall is located in Block A (building with the school office) down the end closest to the basketball court and staff carpark. Visitors can enter and exit through the doors at this end of the building. Please note that these visiting times are before and after class time so as not to interrupt our students' learning. Thank you for your understanding and we hope you enjoy the display!
Sincerely,
Mrs Ganiatsos
