General News & Reminders

New Welfare Books

As you know, as part of our Library there is a special Welfare location (housed separately from children’s Library) for adult members of the school community to use. Parents and guardians must borrow books under their child’s name please.

We have some new titles that you may be interested in:

  • ‘Finding Heaven’- a moving story re death.
  • ‘A Secret Safe to Tell’ - a very good story re the sexual abuse of children
  • ‘Marshmallow Dreamers’ - a lovely story re fear and how to overcome it.
  • ‘Even Mummy Cries’ - an excellent story re depression in adults.

As well as the above titles, we also have a range of books available on various subjects e.g. divorce, autism and other conditions; some may be appropriate to share with your child depending on individual circumstances.

If you are interested in borrowing any books that may support either your own or your child’s wellbeing, please contact your child’s teacher or the Library staff.

Year 6 PYP Exhibition Invitation to our School Community - 24 July

We would like to invite you to view the 2019 Year 6 PYP Exhibition which explores the Central Idea: ‘Innovation in technology impacts society and the environment'. The Year 6 students have been actively involved in the research and investigation of a particular aspect of technology and are looking forward to presenting their work to our visitors.

The Exhibition is open to visitors from 3.30pm on Wednesday, 24 July. If you would like to attend the Opening Ceremony, it is being held in the Senior Learning Centre at 3pm.

Second Hand Uniform Donations

If you are cleaning out your cupboards over the school holidays and discover that your child has outgrown their school uniform, the Uniform Shop would be most grateful for donations - please see guidelines below.

For your convenience, we have two red donation bins - one in the Interview Room (opposite the Office) where donations can be left at any time and one in the Uniform Shop where donations can be left when we are open on Friday mornings (8.45 -9.30am).

Premiers’ Reading Challenge - Keep reading!
