A chemical engineer returns to Princes Hill

Our alumni program invited Jack Churchill, class of 2010, to speak to a Year 11 physics class about his pathway since leaving school.

Students asked Jack about his experiences studying chemical engineering at Melbourne University and his experiences as a researcher working at Casey Station, Antarctica.

Jack has completed three summer expeditions to Casey station, Australia’s base in Antarctica. At Casey Station he worked with a team of scientists, developing a new water treatment technology for cold climates and techniques to clean up diesel oil spills.

Thank you Jack for inspiring students about careers in science! The photos show Jack with some of the Year 11 students after the alumni career pathway session and Jack at Casey Station.
