THE FRIENDSHIP GARDEN

The Friendship Garden is nearly completed and looks amazing! 

 

This has been a real team effort by the whole school community. Thanks to Family & Friends for initiating the project;  the kind parents that donated materials; our fantastic art teacher Lena Cirillo for facilitating this project; Graeme our maintenance support for working on the project; and all the wonderful students for their art work. The rock designs show individuality and creativity.

 

 

 

This art project will be a talking point for many years to come and a reminder of the year 2020, a year like no other.  

 

GRATITUDE DAY

Gratitude Day is on Friday 18th December

This is the last day of the school year and what an unusual year it has been. Students, teachers, staff and parents have all worked really hard to get us here. It is time to pause, reflect and be grateful for everything we have achieved as a school community and a wider community.

 

We say thank you to you all.

 

To mark the day students can wear anything they are grateful to have - it can be their best clothes, a Christmas outfit or dress up outfit, costume, their favourite clothes, cosy clothes or anything that makes them feel good.   

  • We ask that families consider donating any uniforms they have outgrown into the donation box at the front of reception. Many families are eagerly hoping to buy second-hand uniforms to save money and the environment and students can make a positive contribution to making this happen. Please donate if you can.
  • Families can also donate hand sanitiser or tissues in the donations box.
  • Gold coin donations to the SMPPS Families and Friends Playground fund can be made via QKR.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM SHOP

Looking to buy or sell pre-loved school uniforms? The Second Hand School Uniform Pop-Up Shop will be operating on-site at school on Thursday 21st January 2021 11am - 6pm and Friday 22nd January 2021 8am-3pm

 

Help save the environment, save money and raise money for the school.

You can help SMPPS F&F  by: 

  1. Volunteering - donate 1 hour or more of your time to help operate the pop-up stall in January. Only a few spots left - thank you to those who have already signed up. Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D45AEA822A7F8C25-uniform
  2. Getting any old uniforms ready by having them laundered, name tags removed and on hangers or neatly folded. Please store them for now and items can be dropped in the donations box outside  reception until Friday 18th December 3.30pm or at the Pop-Up shop.We desperately need uniforms to sell. We have a number of families on standby for particular sizes.
  3. Registering your interest to buy or sell garments by filling out this form.

Only contactless payments can be accepted. Avoid missing out on the sizes you want by having the QKR payment system set up on your device.

 

2021 WHOLE OF SCHOOL WELCOME MORNING TEA - FRIDAY 29 JANUARY

Families & Friends are looking for volunteers to help with a Morning Tea for the first day of our whole school coming in to school in 2021. Please see below to sign up to bring in a treat or help greet our families on the day. In any case, we look forward to seeing you all there.
