Co-Curricular Update

Western AFL Senior School Cup

Today our senior boys and senior girls football team from MAG ventured down to the Main Oval in Moama to play against Finley, Deniliquin and Barham. The boys won two out of the three games, losing in a tight finale against Finley. The girls reigned supreme to win their sole game against Finley, thanks to a brilliant goal by Tanesha Nurse. The girls have now progressed through to the next stage in Leeton which will be played sometime next term.

CIS Swimming

Earlier this week four of our Primary students traveled to Sydney to compete at the Primary CIS Championships. Our four Year 6 boys, Sam McCleary, Jack Hawkins, Lachlan Nagle and Tommy Teasdale-Dohnt, swam in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay, achieving a PB (2.24) which is amazing!

Lachie Nagle also swam PB's in the 50m Freestyle and Backstroke and wiped a massive 5 seconds off his PB for 50m Butterfly. Jack Hawkins swam a PB in the 50m Breaststroke and Tommy Teasdale-Dohnt, to round off a great day, also swam a PB in his 50m Backstroke event.

We are all so proud of the boys' efforts - Well done!

A special shout out to Chloe Wildes who qualified but was unwell on the day. A great achievement to qualify for this level - so well done Chloe!
