Library News

Book Week is always an exciting event in the school library calendar.  Book Week is celebrated each year in mid to late August.  The annual event highlights the importance of reading and draws on the joys of stories and the creativity of Australian books.

Book Week is about encouraging students to read, to learn about new books, to share favourite writers and illustrators, to look again at old favourite books in maybe a different way, to take time to be alone and just read.

The Children’s Book Council of Australia’s 2018, Book of the year winners were announced during Children’s Book Week celebrations running from 18th- 24th August 2018.

Our College Library are delighted to run a competition which supports our love of reading.  Congratulations to Chelsea Patel – Year 11, who correctly selected the book --A WALK IN THE BUSH by Gwen Perkins as the winner of the Picture Book Category for 2018.

Chelsea received a $30.00 book voucher from Collins Book Shop.

The library is having a monster book sale with many titles to choose from.

Books are only a gold coin each and are all from our non fiction collection.

Please see library staff to make your purchase.
