OSH Club Update

The last fortnight has been a busy and exciting process as we prepared for our Assessment and Rating with the Department of Education. Similar to an audit, this occurs every 4 years. Each National Quality Standard is evaluated and assessed over two days, eventuating in either a 'Working Towards', 'Meeting', or 'Exceeding'. In the last assessment we received 4 Exceeding areas, and 3 Meeting. However, this time we were given all 7 of the National Quality Standards in Exceeding! This has not been achieved in the last decade from another service and our corporation is urging us to go for 'Service of Excellence' with the Department. We know we have an incredible community here at St Augustine's and want to thank you for your ongoing support. And of course, to our wonderful students - thank you for making this place happy, warm and inviting for all visitors.

Poppy, Laura and Julie.

Secondary School News

Emmanuel College

This week saw the College hold the very important VCE Information Evening. The event was a great opportunity to students and families to come along and learn about subject offerings for VCE. It presented the chance for students and parents to talk about tertiary pathways and the subjects students should consider for those particular pathways. It was very pleasing to see so many students and their families coming along to find out such important information.

Our next event for people to come along to in order to see the College is our annual Information Morning. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from the College Principal, students and parents and also enjoy a tour of the school’s facilities. Registrations are essential for this event and can be made online via the Tours and Events tab on the right-hand side of the homepage of the College website, www.ecmelb.catholic.edu.au

Also, the closing date for applications for enrolment for Year 7, 2024 is rapidly approaching. The closing date is Friday 19 August, 2022. A Prospectus Pack containing an application form can be requested under the Enrolment Information tab on the right hand side of the homepage of the College website, www.ecmelb.catholic.edu.au, by emailing enrolments@ecmelb.catholic.edu.au, calling the College Registrar on 8325 5119, or by visiting the friendly staff at reception of either campus.

If you have a child currently in Grade 5, please note that it is a requirement to submit an application if you wish to be considered for a place in Year 7, 2024, even if you already have an older child who attends the College.

We hope to see you at a College event soon.
