Physical Education with Kyneton High School VM Students

This term we are very fortunate to have a group of students from Kyneton High School taking the students for PE sessions. These sessions are held every Monday throughout Term 3, with the first sessions focusing on ball skills. Newham Primary kids enjoyed the games the older students taught them and the feedback from the older students was that they learned a lot about teaching PE. We look forward to this program continuing throughout the term.

Athletics Day - Friday 28th

The weather was kind, the events were hotly contested and a lot of fun was had. Congratulations to the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos (yellow) for topping the house points this year!

Basketball

Congratulations to our 2 teams who went to Boardman stadium in Sunbury for the Basketball competition on Tuesday. Our teams demonstrated great sportsmanship, resilience and respect towards the other schools. The Girls team managed a 7-0 win over Romsey and the Boys won one and drew won game. The word is that all our students enjoyed themselves and we can be proud of the way they represented Newham Primary School.
