Our School Bus

If there are any families interested in using our school bus, this year or next, following is some important information about the service. The bus service is co-ordinated by the school on behalf of the Department of Education and the PTV.

The purpose of the bus to travel throughout our school zone to pick up our students for Newham Primary School. This bus is specifically for  P-6 students. The only time it is outside our zone is when it transitions from the Kyneton Depot into our zone. We cannot request this bus or any other bus to travel outside our zone to the larger townships to collect students for Newham Primary school. Currently the stops are as shown on the accompanying map.

Stops may change due to students further out in our zone wanting a closer stop. Any  queries to change the position of a bus stop MUST come through the school principal. It can take time for a bus stop to be moved. Sometimes it cannot be moved if the PTV and Bus company deem the requested site too dangerous for the bus to stop/turn/set down students (an alternative site may be suggested instead). Students from outside the school zone can use the service if there is space on the bus (yes, there is currently space). They must travel to and from their closest zone bus stop. Bus stops cannot be moved around in our zone to cater for children from outside our school zone.

If you would like to use the bus service please direct all enquiries to the school office.

2023 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey:

WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All families are invited to participate in the survey.
