Class

Kelsey Smith

Head of Curriculum

All the best to the Year 12 students who recently graduated from the College. There have been some fantastic achievements over the past two years at the College and we all wish you the very best for your future endeavours. Please drop in, say hello and let us know what you are up to in the future.

Year 12 ATAR students have recently completed their WACE examinations and now have the long wait until the results are released. Well done for your dedication to the ATAR pathway and completing your exams.

All Year 11 students will soon be receiving their Semester 2 report with some fantastic results achieved throughout the year. Please keep in mind the following when reading your child’s report: Grades are allocated in accordance with the grade descriptors provided to us by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority. All tasks completed throughout the year contribute to the overall mark for the course and are in line with the grade descriptors. The allocation of a ‘C’ grade indicates that your child is performing at the expected level for the course and this is a satisfactory result. This is a great time to reflect on the achievements all students have made this year and set goals for Year 12.

The success of our students would not be possible without all the staff that have taught or supported the students throughout the year - Miss Georgia Sharpe, Miss Kateland Jury, Mr David Dureja, Mrs Sarah Aynsley, Mrs Diane Olejnik, Miss Lizzy Tait, Mrs Zea Christopheson, Miss Lola Slocombe, Mr Justin Fox, Ms Nadine Smith, Ms Karen Hemmy, Mr Ven Vishnu, Mr David Hovell and Mrs Lara Morell. Thank you for your hard work and dedication this year Mrs Anita Sullivan our Librarian and Mr Stephen Skinner with ICT. Special mention to Mrs Michelle Diver who is our school Chaplain and works with all our students across various sectors of the college, her work is invaluable and very much appreciated by all staff and students.

We also wish Mr David Dureja all the best in moving on in his career at other education institutions and Mrs Diane Olejnik a relaxing and well-earned break in retirement. Both have had a significant impact on the performance of the students and running of the College in their time at WACoA Cunderdin.

Finally, congratulations to all Year 12 students on the completion of your formal schooling. I wish you all the best for whatever your future brings and hope you have a healthy, happy and fulfilling life. All the very best to the students and their families for a safe and happy summer holiday period.
