Hands on Learning

Hands on Learning has started term 3 off by featuring in The Melton Star Weekly newspaper for winning the Sowinski Community Projects Award and highlighting the wonderful work students have completed for local community groups.

On our recent visit to the Melton Botanic Gardens, we shared our success with the lovely members of the Friends of the Melton Botanic Gardens. Students have been busy transforming a large area of the gardens this past week.

The hands on team returned to Melton Central Kinder earlier this term to install timber mushrooms  and a wooden rabbit that they had been working on last term plus a few other odd jobs.

This week we were very privileged to get a massive mention at State Parliament by Melton MP Steve McGhie for our achievements in winning the national Sowinski Community Projects Award 2022.

For the rest of this term the students will be working on a mosaic coffee table, keep an eye out in the next newsletter for their progress.
