Learning Power Award Recipients

Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for their demonstration of one or many of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

During Monday's online whole school the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

Week 3
P/1 L	Harsha	For being a motivated learner who always tries his very best and a little bit more in all learning areas. Harsha, your commitment to home learning tasks and participation during class meets has been incredible! You are a star and an excellent role model!
P/1 S	Maya	For being a motivated learner who gives all learning tasks a go. Maya it is great to see that you are regularly participating in all of the home learning tasks, and that you are completing everything to the best of your ability. You have demonstrated that you are able to challenge yourself by explaining your thoughts, strategies and your knowledge. You should be very proud of all that you have achieved this year.
P/1 C	Jasper	For being a creative and collaborative learner both in school with peers and at home with his sister Scarlet. He thinks of original ways to present his learning and produces exciting and interesting work. Well done Jasper!
2E	Divyam	For being a resilient learner during remote learning, giving all learning tasks a go and attending all google meets. Well done Divyam!
2S	Rozelle	For being a motivated learner who shows enthusiasm and positivity when attempting learning tasks. Rozelle uses her creativity to present her learning in different ways and is proud to share her learning and creations- for example her wonderful macaw. Well done Rozelle on staying motivated during remote learning!
3/4J	Eilidh	For being a creative learner by designing and bringing to life her unique bird bath made from all recycled and natural materials during remote learning. Well done Eilidh!
3/4SL	Oakley	For being a creative learner who shows initiative by playing with ideas and thinking outside the box when it comes to presenting work in a digital format.
3/4ST	Nikolaos	For being a reflective learner who always takes on feedback during remote learning and makes improvements to make his work even better! Well done!
5LM	Maanya	For being a motivated learner who is organised by attending all Google Meets on time. During Google meets she always contributes to discussions and shares her ideas.
5LB	Nathan	For being a creative learner who displayed ingenuity and originality in your ‘gaga ball video’. You take on challenges with passion. Well done Nathan!
6L	Hlina	For supporting younger students and making sure everyone is included. As a collaborative member of our school community, you have been helpful, thoughtful and kind. Well done!
Marg - Arts	Frankie P/1S	For being a creative learner who experimented with different materials to enhance her art work. Great model, Frankie!

Week 4
P/1 L	Akul	For being a resilient learner who is always trying his best with a big smile on his face, especially in writing! Well done on persisting through challenges Akul and taking on feedback!
P/1 S	Mehar	For being a motivated learner who gives her best effort when completing her learning task. Mehar, it is so great to see that you always follow instructions, ask for help and take your time to complete your learning tasks. You have grown so much as a learner this year and you should be very proud.
P/1 C	Leah	For being a motivated learner who is organised and ready to begin learning at the start of each session (always the first one on the google meet.) She is able to keep others on task with fun and entertaining comments-giving us all joy during lockdown.
2E	Tahan	For being a motivated and resilient learner who always tries her best and learns from her mistakes. Keep up the great work Tahan!
2S	Ciara	For being a collaborative learner who never hesitates to help and support those around her in any way that she can. She listens to her peers and shares her thoughts when working collaboratively. Well done on being a great role model Ciara!

3/4SL	Marley	For being a reflective learner who has been thinking deeply about her learning and evaluating her next steps when writing in her SEL Journal.
3/4ST	Dexter	For being a motivated learner when practising his writing and handwriting. It has improved so much and all your hard work is paying off. Well done!
