Student of the Month

Alicia Maddock C4 - Chang
Alicia has been a wonderful tutee and we want to commend her for all that she offers to Chang 4. Her spirit of giving, sharing and helping has not gone unnoticed. She without hesitation displays the charisms of Chang and with an open heart welcomes each day as a gift, encouraging others to do likewise. She tries her best in everything she does and is always keen to show her love and appreciation for others. Her initiative and leadership is infectious, allowing others to also lead at the college. The Chang cluster is proud to have her and we cannot wait to see her live her dreams, for this year and the years to come.
Domenic Romeo W5 - Winton
Dom is such a bubbly, outgoing breath of fresh air in W5. By making his fellow peers laugh, he is always brightening up their days. I commend Dom in the way that he has begun the school year and how he has applied himself academically. Dom is always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needs it and W5 are lucky to have him.
Amy Hrvatin D5 - Dunlop
Amy has had a great start to year 12, she has shown strong leadership throughout her Dunlop sports leader role. Amy has been busy presenting in front to year 11 Dunlop regarding their retreat and has also been off campus on the SLG camp.
After a tough start to the year Amy has shown amazing resilience to stay in school, participate in classes and support her friends during such a tough time. Amy has performed at a very high standard, which I’m sure she will carry on throughout a successful year 12.
Jack (Giacomino) Venuto M5 - Mackillop
Jack has made an excellent start to the school year showing enthusiasm and initiative in his work. He has demonstrated kindness and leadership in the classroom by going out of his way to help new students settle in. He is a diligent worker whether he is doing a task by himself or in a team. Well done Jack!
Anton Vo T4 - Truganini
We would like to recognize Anton Vo as the Truganini student of the month. Anton has not only been a valued member of Truganini 4, but he has been a great role model for his peers during our pastoral care program. His mature and considerate nature has gained the trust of Truganini 4 students, resulting in his appointment as our Tutor Leader. The starting of this term has been very difficult for some of our students, but Anton’s ability to ‘step up’ and show compassion toward others especially in the tragic event on Wednesday 6th of February has demonstrated his strong emotional intelligence and emotional leadership skills. I believe he will continue to show these qualities in our Cluster events this year and his contributions will be a great example to others in our school as well as in the community. Well done Anton!
