Headspace in Monash

A Headspace psychologist is now based at Monash Youth Services (MYS) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. We are very excited to have this service in Monash. If you wish to know more get in touch with MYS on 9518 3900 or email yrc.reception@monash.vic.gov.au

MYS outreach initiative

MYS are working hard to engage a diverse group of young people in the Monash community. Over the next month we will be outreaching to Monash libraries to engage and support young people during their exam period to ‘Take 5 with MYS’. We are encouraging young people to take a short break from their studies to spend 5 minutes with a MYS youth worker to talk about how they are feeling about their exams and to provide emotional support, tools and education to assist them in managing any exam related stress they may be experiencing.

City of Monash 2019 Family Fun day

This a free event on Sunday 17th November 11am – 3pm at Batesford Reserve, Chadstone

Corner Batesford Rd and Power Avenue

There will be rides and attractions, games, workshops, performances, food stalls and many local service providers will be there on the day. MYS staff from our active program will be there on the day running an activity and a chill out tent. Activate is a free recreation program for young people aged 10-17. It runs every Wednesday afternoon at Batesford Reserve Youth & Community Hub (where the fun day is taking place). We are always keen for more young people to join the Activate program. Come down to the family fun day to meet the Activate staff or contact MYS to learn more about it.
