Zoology Centre
A very warm welcome this year to Sue Samphier who has started her role as Lilydale High School's Zoology Centre Coordinator.
Sue comes with a wealth of knowledge in the animal care industry and is looking forward to working alongside the students and volunteers to see the Zoology Centre soar to new heights.
7A Maths
Students were working on an investigation task for Mathematics, using clues to find a number from a 100 grid. The students worked collabratley in teams and confirmed their answers with other groups.
Year 7 English
Year 7 students have been exploring cultural stories in English. This is the class representation of the dreaming story 'The Mimi's'.

On Monday 14 February, students in 9G had a wonderful timeat the Lilydale Lawn Bowls club today.
Lawn bowls is part of the Year 9 curriculum and is being taught by volunteers of the bowls club.
The students had a presentation and introduction to the sport and also had an opportunity to participate in a few games.
Year 9 Fabrics for Fauna
Students from the Year 9 Fabrics for Fauna class are looking for DONATIONS of loose fabrics and/or sheets that will be used to create products for wildlife in captivity.
If you would like to donate, please leave the donations in the BOXES at the Middle School Office OR Main Administration Office.
Items to donate include fabrics: flannelette sheets, bamboo sheets, cotton satin sheets, polo fleece blankets and throws.

Year 9 Design Thinking
YRTS - Visit 1
On Tuesday 8 February, the Year 9 Design Thinking class visited the Yarra Ranges Tech School to kickstart their Community Time unit.
Students were exposed to technology and tolls to aid them to provide solutions within our community. The class came away from the day, buzzing with ideas and thoughts for the next week.
VCE Theatre Studies
On Wednesday 16 February, Mr Bleakley's VCE Theatre Studies class used the Conference Room for their official production meeting.
Students are busy preparing for the 2022 Theatre Studies production of 'She Kills Monsters', a high energy play set in the world of 'Dungeons and Dragons'!
Students shared their initial concepts for acting, directing, sound, lighting, makeup, costume, set and props.
We look forward to sharing more information about 'She Kills Monsters' in the lead up to the performances on May 19 and 20!
