INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Welcome to Term 1

Congratulations to all the students who have secured a place in our Instrumental Music program for 2022 and commenced lessons.

Please use the link, Instrumental Music New and Re-enrolment to complete an enrolment for the last few places in clarinet, saxophone, brass and voice. 

Wait lists apply for guitar, percussion, piano and flute. Please note that Instrumental Music lessons are co-curricular and are not compulsory.

During Week 2, we held information sessions in the PAC theatre for all the Year 7s which provided an opportunity for students to see the range of instruments available to learn and meet some of our teachers.

A special thanks goes to our Senior Band students Valentina, Alesia, Charley, Ash, Heidi and Performing Arts Captains Sian and Willow for helping with the sessions.

If you have received confirmation that your child is able to hire a school instrument, please make sure that hire fees are paid by 28 February, so that instruments can be borrowed out through the school library borrowing system.

2022 Victorian State School Spectacular

Congratulations to musicians Heidi Graupner (Year 12) and Erin Allison (Year 11) who have been accepted into the orchestra for the 2022 Victorian State School Spectacular.

Fortnightly rehearsals commence this month with the Spectacular being held in September at Melbourne Arena. 

The orchestra consists of 80 students from across the state and also provides students with the opportunity to participate in additional public performances. What a fabulous effort!
