Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

I hope you all managed to stay dry over the last few days. Next week looks like we may have some sun and dry conditions. Next week also promises to be very exciting as we move into dress rehearsals for our production. I hope you have all booked your tickets and are getting as excited as we all are at school.

State Election - Saturday 26 November

The Victorian state election is scheduled for Saturday 26 November 2022. As families with children in a Catholic school we need to advocate for fair funding for Catholic schools.

Parent's Request for 2023

A friendly reminder that requests for class placement for 2023 will be accepted until the COB on Friday 28 October.

Running Club

Running club will continue next Tuesday, thank you to Brendan Ellul, Dean Andrew and Tanya Stefanec who are assisting the students.

Canteen

The canteen has had a very busy couple of days. Thank you for your support. Please remember to order your child's lunch before 8 pm the night before your child's order as the canteen doesn't receive orders after the cut-off.

Aladdin

Not long now, students have been practising in the hall and performance is coming along beautifully. If you do not have the make-up that was required on the Operoo sent home, please do not purchase. All that is required is base foundation, blush, mascara and lipstick. If your child does not wish to wear make up that is OK.

Next week we have full dress rehearsals, your child will take home their costume (clothes) at the end of the day and they MUST wear this to their production night. Please ensure you check that all costumes/clothes are kept safely.  If you ordered a T-shirt they are expected to arrive sometime next week.

Kingston Division Athletics

Due to the weather this week the Division Athletics was cancelled and will now take place on Monday 17th October.

Sunsmart

Please ensure that your child has their hat at school, as we have a "no hat no play" policy.
