Dunlop Review
Term two is notoriously hard and often anxiety inducing! Our year 11 students taste their first set of exams and our year 12 students are met by the colossal three-hour English exam. I am delighted to reveal that there were no causalities of this behemoth term and that our students have passed a huge milestone on their VCE journey.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom as they term ended with our annual event, Cluster Feast Day, followed by the biggest pool of talent in all of Sydenham gathering for Talent Quest. The Feast Day stalls were great fun and we saw many of our students splurge their SydDollars just so that they could dunk Dunlop’s very own, Peter Wilson. Tunes were blared at the Dunlop Disco stall and D6 worked tirelessly to feed (what felt like!) the 5000, popcorn! A great success! Talent Quest saw Carl Mikhail-Sevilano, Katherine Bruzzese and Nash Donatacci represent Dunlop – an event hosted by D6’s Rowan Portelli.
A special mention goes to the memorial service that was held for our namesake, Weary Dunlop, over the holiday, where despite the rain, he was commemorated for his fantastic services to Australia.
