St Louis will be celebrating Book Week in 3 weeks!

On Monday 23rd August, students can come to school dressed up as their favourite book character!

Could it be Where's Wally, Cat in a Hat, Granny Gangstar, Dotty Detective, Madeline, the Grinch or Atticus Van Tasticus?

What world will you discover today?....This year's CBCA Book Week Theme ~ "Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds!"

Also starting on Monday 23rd August we will be having a Book Fair until Thursday 26th August!

Book Fair Sales will be open from

8am - 8.30am, 12.55pm-1.35pm, 3.15-4.30pm

Please note

Book Fair will not be open on the Friday 27th August

Kingston Libraries have a Short Story Competition on now!

Write a short story or poem of up to 500 words about anything you like!

Works must be original and G-rated. Entries are invited in age categories 5 to 7, 8 to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 to 16. Entries close Sunday 19 September. Winners will be announced Sunday 24 October and published on the Kingston Libraries website.

Submissions must be G-Rated
One entry per person
Entry is open to anyone who is aged 5-16 years and lives, goes to school or plays in the City of Kingston
Word limit: 500 words
Story or poem must be an original work
Entries close Sunday 19 September 2021
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
Winning entries from each age group will be published on Kingston Libraries' website and added to the Short Story dispenser
Selected will be collated into a book and published in a book
Entries will not be returned
Prizes are Westfield vouchers for each age group - 1st prize - $150, 2nd prize - $100, 3rd prize - $50.
