SHEDDA’S 250th GAME

One of Richmond’s star football players, Shane 'Shedda' Edwards was about to play his 250th game. The Richmond Football Club asked the MITS kids to present him with something special for this extra special occasion. Instead of History class, as a group we decided to design five football jerseys. We researched his story and tried to include his aboriginal heritage, the Arunta people. We also included some Richmond colours and other designs.

On that Friday,  9th August we presented the jerseys to Shedda in front of all the RFC football players during their weekly meeting in the Graeme Richardson Room. Shedda was very grateful and surprised.  Later in the day he came to the classroom to thanks us for giving him something so special to recognise his 250th game.  He talked about the jerseys and asked for a photo with all of us.

We had a lot of fun making the jerseys and I’m really happy that he liked them.
