It was a real privilege to visit our students last week on their Outdoor Education Group camp on Taungurung Country at Eildon, in country Victoria.  This is the second year that we have partnered with OEG to provide a journey-based camp that challenges students to push themselves outside of their comfort zones, work together in teams to complete a range of exciting activities and challenges and connect with Country.

As you would expect, every one of our students threw themselves into the camp and activities, worked effectively in their teams to encourage and support each other and made the most of the opportunities to extend themselves and learn on Country.  They returned an even more cohesive, mature and inspirational group – they should feel very proud of themselves!

While camp week was underway our team were using the time to get to know our applicant students for 2020, visiting communities across the Northern Territory and Victoria.  We will be offering positions to new students and families in early Term 4 and are really excited to get to prepare for their arrival next year.

And, we’re really excited that over the past few weeks works have commenced on our Alumni Girls Boarding House.  We have a fantastic team of MITS corporate supporters coming together to deliver the building project and are can’t wait for our first group of alumni girls to move into the boarding house in January 2020!
