VCAL intermediate and senior students helping out with timing at the  BELLARINE AND GEELONG NORTH DIVISION SWIMMING CARNIVAL.

They all did an exceptional job and clear demonstrated the MFG traits of caring and respectful of others and themselves.

VCAL Rotary Book Fair

On Thursday February 17, our Intermediate VCAL students walked down to Geelong West Town Hall to set up the Rotary Club’s annual Book Fair. Our role was to unpack about 2000 boxes of books (about 40,000 books) and place them on display in genres. Each year the money raised goes to support a variety of worthy charities.

It was an amazing team effort and so rewarding to see the massive pile of emptied boxes and well-arranged displays at the end. After working up an appetite, we were rewarded with free pizza from the Rotarians. It was wonderful to see teamwork and cooperation between the students as it was hard work and took about five intensive hours to complete.

The level of respect and communication between the students and Rotary Club members was something that makes me even prouder of the amazing Intermediate VCAL class of 2022!
