Mackenzie Warden – Class of 2018

As soon as Mackenzie stepped into the senior VCAL classroom, past VCAL teacher, Casey McGarrigle confronted her - in jest of course! He had noticed that Mackenzie had claimed (on a poster created about her) that her favourite VCAL subject was English with Ms McMillan!! Casey wondered how this could this be! Surely, he would be Mackenzie’s favourite teacher after he lined up her work placement in Year 12, with someone in his network, resulting in her ongoing employment at the end of Year 12.

Mackenzie took this banter in her stride and spoke about the support she received from ALL her VCAL teachers and how opportunities presented and taken have led her to where she is now. 

Mackenzie is currently working in Real Estate in the Geelong region as an Assistant Property Manager. She is enjoying developing her skill set and building her confidence whilst in this role. 

Mackenzie hopes to one day work in sales with the ultimate goal of owning her own real estate business. 

Since graduating, this is the second time Mackenzie has returned to MFG to speak with students, something we are so grateful for.
