WHAT'S ON

We're nearly there! With just over a week of school left for 2025, it's crazy to think back to everything we have achieved throughout the year! We wrap up with the End of Year Concert and Graduation to finish on an absolute high!

While I have the opportunity, I want to highlight the amazing work of the students this year, and particularly this semester, where they have rolled with the punches, adapted to a different style of learning, yet have shown incredible positivity, adaptability and perseverance to continue learning and ensuring the classroom is a fun place to be!

Super, super proud of them!

IN OUR LEARNING

Reading: In reading, we are wrapping up our work on the focus text "Laughter is the Best Ending", with an emphasis on reading comprehension skills, particularly how to locate literal or inferential information from a text.

Writing: Students have been developing beautifully thought out black-out poems to finish the year. They have enjoyed showing creativity both through the writing and also through how they decorate to convey the meaning of their poems.

Maths: Our focus for the end of the year has been around number skills and revising these.

Humanities: Our students have been working in parties/teams to prepare for an election. They have determined a manifesto for how they could improve the school and run a campaign that has included promotional posters and videos. Our Election will occur at the end of the week.

YEAR 6 CAMP

Camp was an absolute success last week. We spent the night in the city enjoying a range of activities including visiting local parks, playing Ten Pin Bowling, Laser Tag and Arcade at KingPin, enjoying a night walk to see the Myer windows, the Crown Gas Brigades and a Xmas Laser Show on the Yarra and watching a couple of films at IMAX!

We packed a lot into the two days with lots of highlights and memories!

KABOOM KIDS

Our Year 5s participated in Kaboom Kids with the rest of the school on Wednesday while the 6s were on camp! A few even had some important leadership responsibilities which they managed excellently!

It was a fun-filled morning with great activities and good vibes!
