We are nine days out of school finishing and our children have earnt the right to enjoy their last few days!!! Over these next two weeks Prep students will continue to do reading and numeracy sessions in the mornings and have free choice or arts and crafts during the afternoons.
I just want to extend my gratitude to all of you wonderful parents for raising such beautiful children. They are positive, kind and have been an honour to teach this year. This job is one of the most rewarding in the world and coming to school everyday has been so easy!
Wishing you all the very best for the holiday season and you will see me next year when I come to visit!

OUR TERM AHEAD
We’ve made it to the end of the year—and what a year it has been! Our students have worked hard, laughed often, and grown in so many ways. From classroom achievements to special events, we have so much to be proud of. Thank you to all families for your support and enthusiasm throughout the term.
English
What an exciting year it has been in English! Our students have immersed themselves in rich stories, creative writing, vocabulary building, and classroom discussions. Their ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and enjoy literature has flourished. It has been a joy to see their confidence grow throughout the year.

Maths
In Maths, students have been developing their understanding of location by exploring how known places are arranged and how to describe their position. We have been using simple maps, classroom layouts, and everyday examples to practise giving and following directions, identifying landmarks, and explaining where objects are located. Students have enjoyed using language such as ‘next to’, ‘between’, ‘in front of’, ‘left’, ‘right’, and ‘behind’ to describe different locations.
We have also been learning how to read and use a calendar. Students have been identifying days, weeks, and months, and using this knowledge to work out how many days are between different events, as well as converting those days into weeks. We have been counting down to Christmas, the end-of-year concert, and the last day of school. This has helped build their understanding of time and how we organise events across a week or month.
It has been wonderful to see students making real-life connections with these concepts and becoming increasingly confident with both location and time.

Humanities
In Humanities, students have been working hard on creating their very own Tiny Town as part of our learning about community spaces, local landmarks, and how places are designed and used. Students have been planning, designing, and constructing different buildings and features for their town, thinking about the purpose of each place and how people might move around the space. It has been wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills shine as they bring their ideas to life.
A big thank you to all the families who sent in cardboard boxes and recycled materials, your support has helped make this hands-on learning project possible!
