This Sunday, the church celebrates the feast of Christ the King.

This signifies the final day in our church’s year.

In the coming weeks we will celebrate the special and sacred time of Advent.

Until then, the solemn, holy feast of Christ the King, reminds us that God gives himself to us through his Son, Jesus, the one we look to for guidance, strength and love. 

On this special feast day, we can pray together with this simple prayer…

Dear Jesus,

Help us to follow your example

And be kind, forgiving people.

Be with us as we work

To build your kingdom of love

Here on Earth.

Amen.
