Principal's Message
Mr Ben Morgan | Principal
Dear Families,
First of all, we want to thank you for your patience and understanding this week while we navigate the sand recall. Every step of our response has been guided by the best advice from Catholic Education Tasmania, WorkSafe Tasmania and licensed professionals. We understand that this may be inconvenient or upsetting, and we are ready to offer support to any of our students in need.
Our Water Awareness and Learn to Swim program has started off really well. Our students have embraced the lessons and faced them with enthusiasm and positivity. Although many of our students will be tired at the end of the day, we are glad we can offer a program that supports them in learning this valuable life skill.
Invitations for the International Men’s Day Celebration will be out shortly. We are continuing our mission to create stronger connections between the school and our families. Families are the first teachers, and without your support, it is impossible to equip students with everything they need to succeed. Thank you for your continued support and investment in your child’s education. Although this is not a Kinder day, Kinder students are welcome to attend with their invited guests.
We wish Joanne Whitton all the best in her retirement after nearly nine years of service. Jo has been instrumental in delivering high quality speech therapy programs that have not only improved the speech of our students, but also their levels of literacy. We appreciate all you have done for us at John Paul II and hope to see you back one day soon.
End of Year Information
We would like to invite you all to attend our End of Year Assembly on the final day of Term 4 - Wednesday 17 December at 11:50am. We will provide a sausage sizzle and students can leave after signing out with their class teachers. There will be no formal lessons after lunch. Students who are unable to finish at 1pm will be supervised in their classrooms until the normal finishing time, 3pm.
Have a great weekend!
