Trades

Hello to all parents, carers, and students!

My name is Ben Elliott, and I have taken on the role of Head of Trades this year.

Firstly, I would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Stephen Prangnell for his 22 years of service as Head of Trades. In addition, Stephen is entering his 37th year at the College. Yes, that’s right—some of you reading this were probably taught by him, just as I was. His contributions to the College and the Trades program have been significant, and we are extremely grateful for his ongoing support and expertise.

We have had a smooth start to the year, and it has been great to see our Year 12 students welcoming Year 11 students to the College. If parents or carers have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact College staff.

Staffing Updates

There have been a couple of changes within the Trades team this year:

  • Troy Boromini has returned after a year away and will again be running Automotive.

  • Dean Pfitzner has joined our team as our Construction teacher.

  •

Some of you may remember Dean from his earlier years of teaching, as he also started his career here at Cunderdin Agricultural College. We are very fortunate to have Dean on board—he brings extensive knowledge in the VET sector and has previously held leadership roles as Head of Department, Deputy Principal, and Principal at Harvey and Narrogin Agricultural College.

Trades Staffing Overview

Student Update

Our Year 11 students are settling well into the routine, with classes off to a strong start. As you move through the workshops, it is great to see students enjoying getting into the practical sessions.

The Year 12 students have picked up right where they left off last year. It has been fantastic to see many students returning to their projects with enthusiasm and motivation.

We look forward to a productive and successful year in the Trades Department.
