From the Principal

Welcome to 2026
A very warm welcome to all of our new and returning students and families. It has been an incredibly smooth start to the year - a testament to our amazing staff for their preparations and to our students for seamlessly slipping back into routines and college life.
Year 11 Induction
Our Year 11 Induction Day/Weekend was highly successful (despite the hot weather conditions)! Commencing boarding in Year 11 comes with mixed emotions for both our students and parents, and it has been pleasing to see the vast majority of students quickly settling into this new environment. For some, it takes longer to adjust, but please know we are all here to navigate any issues, concerns or 'bumps' along the way - please reach out.
We value your feedback and have already surveyed the Year 11 students about Induction Day and their experience over the first couple of weeks at the College. Parents will have received a link via email to a survey where we would appreciate feedback on our application and admissions processes, uniforms, Induction Day and how we have supported your child to transition into boarding in general.
Vehicles
I spoke to our Year 12s today about expectations regarding vehicle usage. I reiterated that reckless and dangerous driving to and from the College will result in students losing their privileges to park their cars on College grounds. We prioritise safety of both our students and our local community.
2026 Board Representatives
This year we have six (6) Year 11 parents nominate for one of three (3) positions on the College Board. I would like to pass on my sincere thank you to Michelle, Steele, Vicki, Carli, Trent and Phil who have all kindly put themselves forward to donate their time to assist us with our whole-school improvement and governance. A voting survey has been sent to all parents and closes 3pm on Tuesday 17 February 2026.
Public School Review
In Week 7 this term we have our Public-School Review scheduled. Our last review was undertaken in 2021. This is an opportunity for us as a College to celebrate our achievements and indicate our planned areas for continuous improvement. I would like to thank the staff for their contribution to this process.
Important Dates - Boarding Closed
I encourage students and parents to ensure they are making plans to work around dates where the boarding facility is closed this term:
Labour Day Long Weekend - closed 3pm Friday 27 February, reopening 4pm Monday 2 March 2026.
Autumn Carnival - Residential excursion to Harvey Ag College for up to 70 students (Boarding Closed 3pm Friday 20 March, reopening 4pm Sunday 22 March).
