From Associate Principal

It has been a wonderful start to the 2026 school year back at the College, despite the temperature, students have been getting straight into work across all areas of the school. All of the students have adapted well to our adjusted timetable, in particular the early finish on Class days.

Our Year 12 cohort have stepped into the role of student leaders and role models flawlessly and should be commended for their conduct so far. I hope to see this positive start continue throughout their final year of schooling. Likewise, our new Year 11s have settled right into the routines of boarding and agricultural college life.

As always, we have a very busy term with events including Wagin Woolorama, Autumn Carnival, Darkin Sheep Fest, OLNA, after school workshops and a long weekend all fitting into a 9-week term. I strongly encourage all our students to attend school and engage in all courses in order to complete certificates and class-based courses.

Course Changes

Students wishing to discuss or make changes to their timetables or course selections should arrange a time to meet with me as soon as possible. No course changes will be made after Friday of Week 3 (20 Feb 2026).

Prep

Supervised Prep is now running in the Library from 6:30-7:30pm. If you would like to attend please sign up for Self-Elected Prep by asking any school staff member to add your name to the list. You need to sign up by 3:00pm on the day you would like to attend. Prep is a fantastic opportunity for support from Instructional Staff from different areas of the College.

Supervising Staff:

Monday - Mr Marshall (Farm)

Tuesday - Mr Bustos (Class)

Wednesday - Mrs Packham/Miss Jury (Class)

Thursday - Mr Bustos (Class)

Uniform and Phones

It has been great to see the students taking pride in themselves, wearing the correct uniforms and keeping themselves neat and tidy throughout the day. Please remember rings and chains are not to be worn in Trades and Farms for safety reasons. Students are reminded that phones are to stay in their rooms when they leave for the school day as per the Department's policy - "Off and Away, All Day".  Day students can leave mobile phone in the Administration building or in lockers.

School Arrivals and Departures

If students are leaving the College for any reason during the school day, they must sign in and out on both Reach (not applicable for Day Students) and the school office.
