Dear Parents & Carers,
What a wonderful celebration we shared last week at our Father’s Day breakfast and prayer service. The primary playground was filled with joy and camaraderie as families came together. A heartfelt thank you to the staff who arrived early to set up, and congratulations to the children who participated so beautifully in our prayer service.
A huge thank you to the Simpson family for sponsoring our breakfast. We are very grateful for their generosity.

Over the past few weeks, I have been meeting regularly with our Student Representative Council as the children work alongside me in shaping our new school mission, vision, and values. We are now close to finalising this important process, which has included the voices of all members of our community — Father Richard, Sr Kari, staff, parents, and, most importantly, the children. At one meeting, the children asked me a very thoughtful question: “Why are we revising our mission and vision?” I explained that, as we celebrate our 95th anniversary, it is timely to both honour our history and heritage while also looking ahead to the next era of St Francis Xavier.
As a Catholic school, we are called to develop the whole child. St John Paul II reminded us that Catholic schools exist not only to provide academic knowledge but also to form the whole person intellectually, morally, spiritually, and socially.
Last week, our students completed a survey to share their thoughts and experiences of school life at St Francis Xavier. Their insights were both valuable and inspiring, and I look forward to sharing these with families in our next newsletter and at our final Parent Information Night in early Term 4.
Please also note the following dates:
Kindergarten commence school on Wednesday 28th January
-Siblings commence at 9.10am
- New families commence at 9.30am
Wishing you and your families a wonderful week ahead
