What a busy time we have had at school!
Last week, we paused to remember and honour ANZAC Day. Students showed great respect as we learned about the bravery, courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who served our country. We spoke about the importance of remembrance and how we can show gratitude in our everyday lives.
Well done to all students who completed Cross Country dpown at Yarraville gardens on such a beautiful day. We also want to say congratulations to all those who made it through to district and divisional level.
We are also very excited as Mother’s Day approaches! Grade 5/6s have been busy preparing special surprises in Kitchen garden and we have all been thinking in class about the important women in their lives who care for, support and love us. We hope all our mums, grandmothers and special carers feel extra appreciated and celebrated.
Looking ahead, there is lots of excitement for our upcoming 3 Schools Movie Day with Corpus Christi and Annunciation. We will be watching the Magic Faraway Tree after a sausage sizzle lunch and a group Mass in our church.
Please also do not forget to bring your recycled cans in for fundraising towards our whole school Hotdog day.
Don’t forget to check out the fun activities included on this page!
You’ll find crosswords, recipes, and other exciting challenges to keep you entertained. Give them a go at home with your family we’d love to hear how you go!
A- Always remember those who were brave
N- Never forgetting the choices they gave.
Z- Zealous and strong, they stood side by side,
A- Acting with courage and honour and pride.
C- Caring for peace, for all far and wide.
-We wear a poppy, bright and red,
To think of those who fought and bled.
They showed us courage, strong and true,
And worked for peace for me and you.-
`They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget.
My mum is Kind, my mum is bright,
She hugs me close and holds me tight.
She helps me learn, she helps me grow,
She loves me more than ill ever know
