PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

It is wonderful to look back and conclude what has been a truly remarkable first term for 2026!

I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Mrs Moore, Mr Paton, Mr O'Donnell, Mr Clery and our amazing staff, students, and families for ensuring our school continued to thrive in my absence and look forward to returning with you all during Term 2.

A Partnership in Learning: Family Conferences

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our recent Family Conferences. These meetings are a vital part of our school life, and we truly value the time you took to sit down with teachers to discuss your child’s progress. This partnership between home and school is the key to ensuring every student feels supported, known, and challenged to do their best.

Success in the Water

Swimming has undoubtedly been a "big hit" this term. From the high energy of our Swimming Carnival to the focused weekly swimming lessons, it has been a pleasure to watch our students refine their confidence and skills. Seeing a student master a new stroke or gain the courage to tackle a new challenge in the water is a wonderful reminder of the persistence we value at St Joseph's.

Community Spirit: St Joseph’s Day

Our St Joseph’s Day celebrations were a significant highlight and thank you to Fr Deleep for a beautiful service and for our students for their involvement in the mass. It was a day of great joy, allowing us to honor our patron saint and the values of service and humility. The custom made biscuits were a treat! Thank you to Connie and Cherie for creating these as a special treat for our school community as a special token to commemorate St Joseph's Feast Day.

We also extend a warm, final welcome for the term to the new staff and students who joined our family this year—you have settled in beautifully and are now truly part of the fabric of our school.

ANZAC Day: Saturday 25 April

Looking ahead past the upcoming holidays, we have an important opportunity to gather as a community. Saturday 25 April is ANZAC Day, a significant day of remembrance. We would love to have as many students as possible join us to walk in the local march. It is always a proud moment to see our school uniform represented as we pay our respects to those who served.

May you find time for rest and reflection with your loved ones as the autumn weather settles in.

We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready to commence Term 2 on Monday 20 April.

With every blessing,
