Inquiry

Our Inquiry question involves critical and creative thinking in the area of History when we ask: ‘How has life changed over time?’. We will be exploring students’ personal history, their family history, the history of our school and local community as well as that of Indigenous peoples through questions such as:

• What is history? How can we find out about history?
• How is my family history the same or different to others?
• How have things changed or stayed the same over time?
• How have changes over time shaped daily life?

In addition to valuable and engaging classroom experiences, students will be given hands-on opportunities to investigate these questions by participating in the 'Then and Now' excursion. Students will involve their extended families by conducting interviews and analysing the similarities and differences between then and now.
