K–6 Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday, 30 July, all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 travelled to West Track & Field, Auburn for our annual Athletics Carnival. While the day began with a crisp, cold morning, the sunshine soon warmed everyone up as students enthusiastically took part in a fun-filled day of activities and competition.

Our youngest students in Kindergarten had a wonderful time participating in a range of Novelty Games, building confidence, teamwork and fundamental movement skills while enjoying the excitement of the carnival atmosphere. Meanwhile, students in Years 3–6 competed across a variety of track and field events, including shot put, high jump, long jump, the 100m, 200m and 800m races. Throughout the day, students showed determination, resilience and excellent sportsmanship as they challenged themselves to achieve their personal best.

The carnival was a wonderful celebration of school spirit, with students proudly dressed in their house colours, many adding colourful face paint and pom-poms to support their houses. The atmosphere was filled with encouragement as students cheered each other on, celebrated successes and showed respect for every one involved. It was fantastic to see so many students embracing the opportunity to participate, support their peers and represent their house with pride.
