5/6 Summit

We are excited to kick off a fantastic new term here in 5/6S!

In Maths, students are learning about fractions. Exploring improper fractions and mixed numerals, placing unit fractions on a number line, adding and subtracting fractions and solve word problems.

In Writing, our focus is on narrative skills and characterisation. Students are in the planning phase of crafting engaging stories, bringing characters to life with rich details and emotions.

Our guided reading groups are up and running, providing tailored support to help every child develop strong reading habits and comprehension skills.

In Art, creativity is flourishing as students display techniques such as gradient, highlighting and silhouettes in an underwater art project, inspired by our class novel 'Blueback'.

We look forward to a term full of fun and learning!
