P&C Update

It has been another busy few weeks for the P&C!

Father’s Day Stall

We recently held our Father’s Day Stall, and it was wonderful to see how excited the students were. The gifts were a big hit this year, and we hope all of the lucky recipients enjoyed them just as much!

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who gave their time to help run the stall. Events like our Father’s Day and Mother’s Day stalls simply couldn’t go ahead without the support of parent and carer volunteers. Even an hour or two of help makes a big difference and allows us to continue offering these special events for the children each year.

P&C Meeting

Our most recent P&C meeting was held on 31st August. We had a great discussion about some exciting upcoming fundraising ideas and activities for the school.

One of our current fundraising goals is to raise money towards having air-conditioning installed in the school hall. This project will be jointly funded by the P&C and the school. With so many assemblies, performances, discos and other school events held in the hall throughout the year, we hope it will make the space much more comfortable for our students, staff and wider school community.

Secondhand Uniform Shop

Our Secondhand Uniform Shop is another great way the P&C supports our school community. We aim to open the shop twice each term, however this depends on having enough volunteers available to help run it. With a larger team of volunteers, we would have much more flexibility and could potentially open the shop more often throughout the year.

We would love to receive more uniform donations. To help ensure consistency for families, we ask that donated items are official Peakhurst Public School uniform pieces, rather than similar items purchased from other stores. Donations should also be clean and in good wearable condition.

Shopping secondhand is a great way for families to save money, give uniforms another life and reduce waste. Best of all, funds raised through the Secondhand Uniform Shop go back into the school, helping the P&C fund projects, resources and activities that benefit our students.

Pie & Donut Drive – Coming Next Term!

Our next fundraiser will be our Pie & Donut Drive, featuring delicious goodies from Loftus Pies.

Order forms will be sent home this week, so keep an eye out in school bags!

Completed order forms and the correct cash will need to be returned to the school office by 23rd October 2026.

Orders will then be delivered to school and sent home on 6th November 2026.

We will also be looking for volunteers to help sort the pies on the Friday, so if you are available to lend a hand, we would greatly appreciate your support.

All funds raised through the Pie & Donut Drive will go towards our air-conditioning fundraising goal, so we would love to see as many families as possible get involved.
