Positive Behaviour for Learning

At Peakhurst Public School we are committed to fostering a positive and respectful learning environment where every student can thrive. Recently, we have noticed an increase in disruptive behaviour in classrooms and some disrespectful interactions between students and staff. This is a matter we take very seriously, as it impacts the rights of all students to learn without distractions.

We want to remind everyone that our school community expects all students to:

  • Be prepared for learning each day.
  • Actively engage in their lessons.
  • Speak respectfully to staff, especially when staff are supporting and redirecting behaviour.

Every student has the right to learn in a safe and supportive space, and this can only happen when mutual respect is maintained. We encourage families to discuss these expectations at home and support us in reinforcing the importance of respectful behaviour.

If you have any concerns regarding your child's learning at school, please contact the office to schedule an appointment with the classroom teacher.
