Year 5 + 6 Swim Carnival

Last Thursday 14th May was the annual 5/6 House Swimming Carnival at Blue Fit. The day started with some impressive 50m events: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and the favourite kickboard event! It was great to see so many students have a go and enjoy the fun atmosphere created by the spectators. The 25m events had some close finishes. Luckily Mr. Foster used technology to assist with those tough decisions. 

Thank you to all the participants, parent and family members who came along to support and the hard-working teachers and support staff who made the day very special. The winning house was Lonsdale with a massive total of 809 points! Second place was Apollo with 652 points, third was Fairhaven with 618 points and fourth was Sorrento with 414 points. 

These points were added to the points scored during the 3-4 house carnival last term to name an overall winning house. The overall house swimming results are as follows:

• 4th place: 693 points Sorrento
• 3rd place: 898 points Fairhaven
• 2nd place: 917 points Apollo
• 1st Place and the overall House Swimming Winners for 2026 with 1165 points is LONSDALE
