Cross Country Carnival
The continuous rain has meant yet another cancellation of our cross country yesterday. Nevertheless, we have continued with the Beep test during lessons this week in preparations for the carnival.

Next Tuesday 24th March, we will hold the Cross Country carnival here at the school during sport lessons under the supervision of HFL staff and myself.

One thing we have worked hard on during lessons this week has been our sport attitude and the importance of playing fair and kind and never giving up. I personally watch a lot of sport - I'm a passionate Sydney Swans member and I love the Matildas soccer team. Last week I had the privilege to attend 2 Swans games and a Matilda's game in just 10 days! Then I watched the Matildas semi final against China on TV on Tuesday night. The match winning goal by Sam Kerr in the second half was a really good example of a sportsperson never giving up. Kerr's persistence in this game and then her contribution to the final goal was spectacular! I really love the positive attitudes of the professional athletes in these games. Rain, hail or shine- they front up and do their best making their fans proud.
Here is a picture of me with my youngest child Ash, braving the rain at the recent Matildas match in Sydney! Fingers crossed the rain stays away for our sport next week!
Have a great week.
