Literacy and Numeracy Early Intervention Program

Our dedicated Grade 3 and 5 students are nearing the completion of their intensive intervention block. Recently, parents and carers received an update outlining their child’s progress and achievement toward individual learning goals. We are extremely proud of the growth demonstrated by all students so far. A further update will be provided at the end of the term to celebrate their continued learning and achievements.

Our intervention staff have greatly enjoyed working with students in small groups and commend them for the effort and commitment they have shown throughout the program.

In Term 2, we will commence our second intervention block, which will run for 16 weeks and conclude mid-Term 3. This phase will focus on students in Grades 1 and 2. Classroom teachers have been working closely with our Learning Specialist, Lauren Clark, to carefully select students who are eligible for the literacy and numeracy intervention groups. Assessment data has been used to accurately identify each student’s individual learning needs.

Parents and carers of students in Grades 1 and 2 who are selected for the program will receive a letter in Week 1 of Term 2 with further information.
