General Information

Please make sure to name your child’s clothing especially jumpers, jackets and hats.
If your child has lost an item of clothing at school, please check the bag area outside their classroom first, and then the lost property collection near the central staircase.
Clothing which is named will be returned to students at the end each week.
Unnamed uniform will be washed and added to the preloved uniform shop at the end of term.
Unnamed casual clothes are donated to charity at the end of term.
Vere Street safety upgrade
Notice of works – Vere Street safety upgrade (Richmond West Primary School) Vere Street outside Richmond West Primary School has commenced, it is to make drop-off, pick up and day-to-day travel safer for everyone who lives, works or studies in the area.
The aim of the project is to provide a space that Carers and students feel safe, slow down traffic and discourage anti-social behaviour during school and non-school times.
The project is being delivered by the State Government Victoria, with support from Yarra City Council as the road owner. Works will include raised traffic-calming platforms, new kerb ramps and clearer line-marking.
When and where
• Works start: Monday 16th March 2026
• Expected finish: around Friday 26th June 2026 (about 15 weeks, weather permitting)
• Working hours: 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday; 9am to 3pm Saturday

Note: The Vere Street gate will be closed during this time. Alternative entrance is by the emergency gate in Belgium Ave (runs along playground & Highett Street tower) via Lennox Street.
