Farm

Term 4
We're on the final run now, powering towards the end of another College year. The Certificate III in Agriculture and Pork Production students (Year 12s) are finishing off the last of the work required for these qualifications, and Year 11 students are adjusting to the amended timetable and seem to be enjoying 2 days in a row on farm.
Short courses
Term 4 is packed full of short courses, with Year 11s taking part in First Aid and Fire Awareness, and some Year 12s undertaking the Loader and Skid Steer training. These courses are all delivered by external providers, so we would like to thank all of those people involved in making this happen for our students.
Fire Awareness Training
Special mention to Mr Justin Fox for coming in for a couple of extra days to complete Fire Awareness training alongside the new Community Emergency Services Manager for the area, Mr Allan Mills-Heath. This is a course delivered to the students in conjunction with DFES and the Shire to educate students on the basics of fire in agricultural areas.
First Aid training
Once again, Liz Boston from Central Regional TAFE will be delivering a full-day first aid training course to all our Year 11s (and staff who require requalification) over the next few weeks. Students gain their First Aid skill set which can be used towards their Certificates II and III in Agriculture.
