Camp Photos and Video:

Camp is such a brilliant opportunity for our children to step out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, try new things, and learn how much more capable they are than they thought.
HUGE thanks to all our Kakapo Team teachers, Whaea Nicole (who did the whole week and TWO camps), and all the parents who supported them as Camp Parent Helpers. They changed the life trajectory for many of our children, and that is a massive thing to do.
Here's a message from a Camp Mum:
Kia Ora Ash,
I just wanted to email to give praise to Nuree, Jessie, Stephanie, Iris, Whaea Nicole, and all the staff at Carey Park for an amazing job!I can see how much effort it takes to run these camps (so smoothly as well), and I truly appreciate all the effort that has gone into it all from a parent's perspective.
What an awesome experience for all of those tamariki! My daughter loved it! They are incredibly lucky to have a fantastic team of kaiako to encourage, guide and support them. I’m so grateful that this opportunity was provided, as a parent and as a teacher, to witness so many tamariki flourish in confidence through all the experiences provided.
Many tamariki gave it their best, but two come to mind as they overcame some very challenging experiences on some of the courses available. The tamariki were well-behaved, followed instructions, and I personally think they did the school proud.
Yes, I’m shattered, but hopefully I’ll get the chance again in four years’ time for round two😊Hope the next round goes as smoothly as possible, and that the teachers know how much they are appreciated for all they do for our tamariki.
P.S. That swing, though! Lots of fun for us big kids too! - Michelle
